After a long afternoon of nothing I returned to Crystal lake to give it another go at 8pm. After about an hr. of nothing I decided it was time to give it one more cast and call it quits. I wish I had my $&*T together because A) I had no real camera, B) No measuring tape, C) No batteries for the scale, and D) No flashlight/lantern. However I liked the cast and sure enough got a huge hit out of it, strong fight with quite a few attempts at jumping, and once on shore I went to lift the line and the line snapped. This was the biggest fish Ive seen out of my favorite spot to date! I used my foot (size 12) to measure out 24inches and looked online as to what a healthy 24inch largemouth should weigh and a site came up with 8-8.5lbs so any guesses there would be greatly appreciated. While releasing the fish also got a good bounce and snagged me with the second treble and did some good wigglying causing me a good amount of pain haha, but well worth it! Cant wait to head back.

Went fishing while wife was gone on appt. Made a quick trip to the Charles right by Watertown Square. Using a 4inch yomato green/chartuese worm I pulled in a nice 12 inch Largey and missed another 2 that got off the hook.

Hit up Crystal Lake @ approx 8:15pm and stuck around until advised by an officier that the park closed at dark (around 9:25). Between 9-kick out I pulled in 2 12inch + Large mouth casting as far out as I could. 1 put up a fight and a half and the other caught both of the treble hooks and even though he was bigger couldn't fight as much.

While out camping at Sweetwater Forest in Brewster I took a walk down to the pond on site (Snow Pond). Using a 2 inch jitterbug it took possibly 15 min to tag a 7-8 Largemouth. The cool part was bringing it in as there are 4-5 Large Snappers that hang out right by the dock and one tried chasing my catch on the way in. The next night I landed another 8-9 inch, and the couple I was fishing with caught two 6-8in each.
