Spy Pond - Gould Street
One of the perfect days people fishing from the shore of a lake or pond dream of, when the fish are feeding right in front of you. It rained heavy most of the day and the past few days have been hot, I showed up around 7 PM. Skies were partly sunny and about 70 no humidity. For those of you that know Gould street on Spy Pond, it is a spot where you can land at least a couple of small bass a trip. On this day I landed 12 bass in about an hour. One on a top water plug, one on a top water frog, and the rest on senkos. The remaining ten were all caught in a 5 foot diameter area to about 2 oclock facing the pond. 4 fish were caught on 4 casts in a row just by casting the senko and hitting on the first drop, it was crazy. All fish were 1 to 1.5 lbs, one was about 2.5-3 lb. Normally this spot is hit or miss but never this active. Finally showed up at the right place at the right time
Love when that happens!Earlier in the year when water was real low at my fav spot was nailing 3-4lbers on every other cast now water is up (they were working on damn and have since closed it along with rain)Now lucky to catch a couple fish but usually get at least one over 2lbs every time out.
