Clear Lake is the second-largest natural lake in Iowa. Clear Lake is the name of a natural body of water located in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa near Clear Lake, Iowa. It is approximately 3,684 acres (15 kmĀ²) in size. It is a popular fishing destintion, with walleye, bullhead, yellow bass and channel catfish. The average depth is 10 feet (3 m) and the maximum depth is 19 feet (6 m). The lake has 13.6 mi (22 km) of shoreline. Clear Lake State Park is located on the shores of the lake. There are 5 concrete boat ramps - two on the east shore, one on the south shore, and two on the northwest end of the lake. Camping is available at Clear Lake State Park on the south side and McIntosh Woods State Park on the northwest edge of the lake.
