Ponkapoag pond Fishing Report

Beautiful day today. Took the canoe out solo this morning before work to Buckmaster pond. A lot of action going on there. Caught 8 bass around 1-2 pounds in 2 hours. Got home from work and took the GF out to Ponkapoag for some evening fishing. We paddled our way along the southern shoreline and I landed a big pickerel, then we hung in the western cove where I hooked up on and landed a nice 3 pounder. I set the hook and she darted straight towards the boat and dove down, then she jumped literally right in front of us, splashing me in the face. Snapped some shots and then released her. My girlfriend then broke off what seemed like a pretty hefty fish and then caught a nice pounder immediately after. Ended the day with a nice 17 in chunk.
